Hītori – Our Story

Rich in culture and history, Kauwhata Marae is a place where our traditions are kept alive through hui, wānanga, and kaupapa that bring our people together.

We uphold the values of Pai Mārire, and our grounds are also home to St Peter and St Paul’s Church, a treasured site in the history of the Hāhi Katorika.
